Some of the set design, heavy use of cell-phones, cars (Ford Mondeo), product-placement (Blu-ray, Sony, Virgin), fashion - especially Craig's ill-fitting suits funny sunglasses, usage of then popular Texas Hold-em, dialogue (it's Gilmore Girls-ish) etc.
I am reminded of what Lewis Gilbert said to Barbara Bach in TSWLM when she said some of the fashion choices were too muted "some things won't look good in ten-years, they can't be too current now" (paraphrasing). It comes across to me in CR that this wasn't followed...
The fashions in CR aren't so bad. Craig's wide-legged suit trousers are really the only problem, but the dinner suit still looks great, especially since it has different trousers than the other Brioni suits. I feel strange trying to back up my least-favourite Bond film.
excellent points made thanks Mr. Drax, and Matt i'm also not a fan of the Brioni Suits in CR besides the Bahamas arrival suit as they look stuck in the 90s to my eye, leftovers from the Brosnan era. But then again I don't know where fashion was in 2005-2006. Also Craig's bellbottom pants he wears in the Bahamas with the Sunspel Polo didn't look good in 2006.
